Jim Malone is Robert Boyle Professor (Emeritus) of Medical Physics and was Dean of the School of Medicine at Trinity College/ St James’s Hospital. Jim has long associations with the Robert Boyle Summer School as presenter and organiser. He has worked with various international organisations, including the United Nations, the World Health Organisation, ,the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), IEC,ICRP and the EC.
Prof Jim has broad interests in the humanities and has directed two Merriman Summer Schools. He has been reading Boyle’s work in its original format for over 25 years. Recent publications include books on: ‘Ethics for Radiation Protection in Medicine; Mystery and the Culture of Science‘; and a new almost true book, ‘Tales from the Ivory Tower‘.
