The Science of the Superhuman‘ – June 2025

The great Russian psychologist, Lev Vygotsky, famously claimed that “human higher cognitive functions are not natural structures but constructs” (Vygotsky, 1929). Uncovering the mechanisms governing the development of higher mental functions would thus make possible the rational design of more powerful, historically unprecedented, modes of human thought.

Vygotsky described this future “peak psychology” as “the science of the superhuman” (Vygotsky, 1927).

In this talk, Dr David Delany, will present a radical new theory of intelligence and human potential designed to support the practical cultivation of human superintelligence by reformulating intelligence as a trainable, technical skill.
